Worried about your New Broadband line’s usage. Yes, I was. That day was horrible, I had the bill in my hands and it was 8 times my actual Line Bill. I used to browse heavy sites like Youtube, CSS/Flash related and other applications like stumble upon. I needed to find a way by monitor by Bandwidth usage. I had searched , actually googled for it and wasn’t happy with the results but I finally zeroed on one certain application called Cyber Bandwidth Monitor.(CBM) I will write you a small description.
Cyber Bandwidth Monitor tracks traffic of all network connections and displays real-time download and upload speeds in graphical and numerical forms. The software logs traffic of all network connections and provides daily, weekly and monthly traffic reports
Practically it shows your usage along with the average Bandwidth both upload and download. It also shows a neat desktop meter which you can customise to stay on top of the current window or stay hidden. Pretty neat right!! Here are the screenshots for CBM.
Below is the Taskbar screenshot.
Below is the Summary log.
Once you start using it, you will be surely surprised with the amount of Bandwidth used just for checking your mail.
Here is the download link
P.S- I am sure BSNL Broadband users will find it helpful, if you know what I mean.
